Porsche Receives Solid Marks in J.D. Power and Associates Reliability Study

A few factors may come immediately to mind when considering a luxury car purchase; performance, comfort and leading-edge tech are some of the elements that could influence such an important decision. Bert Smith Porsche has one more aspect for St. Petersburg and Tampa drivers to consider: reliability. And when considering the reliability of a luxury sports car, one of the best choices you can make is to hop in the driver's seat of a new Porsche.

Why are we so sure?

We'll admit we may be a little biased towards Porsche's corner of the ring, thus we'll allow a recent J.D. Power and Associates study to illuminate further. The 2013 version of the company's Vehicle Dependability Study came out earlier this month and a few familiar models made top marks for having some of the fewest problems on the road. Luxury vehicles like the 911, Panamera and Cayenne require just routine service and standard vehicle upkeep, with less major repairs keeping your vehicle off the road.

Getting into the details of the study, Porsche placed second in the Vehicle Dependability Study with the important metric being the average number of issues experienced by owners per 100 vehicles. The industry average rests at 126 problems per 100 vehicles currently. Porsche, conversely, only reported 94 problems per 100 vehicles sold. This compares quite well to another luxury automaker with a quartet of 'rings' in their logo who fell well below industry average at 147 problems per 100 vehicles.

This speaks volumes about the quality of the individual parts you'll find under the hood of models like the Cayman and Boxster. However, it does even more so about the kind of driving experience you can expect upon taking a seat behind the wheel.

That's precisely what Bert Smith Porsche invites you to do today. Located at 3800 34th Street North in St. Petersburg, FL, we're ready to give you a closer look at the model you're interested in and discuss car loan and Porsche lease options.
