Celebrating the Birth of the Porsche Clubs

The year was 1952, the setting, Westphalia, Germany. A small band of 7 gentlemen came together to begin a club based on their love of Porsche automobiles. Soon after, another 6 men gathered to do the same. Fast forwarding to 2012, Porsche has arranged a celebratory treat in honor of the two first Porsche Clubs: the 911 Club Coupe.

While the Porsche 911 Club Coupe won't be appearing on the Bert Smith Porsche lot, located at 3800 34th Street North in St. Petersburg, Florida, anytime soon, we can tell you it is a very limited and exclusive edition of the renowned Carrera S rear-engine sports car. To make it the special edition that it is, the 911 Club Coupe adds the Carrera S Powerkit which bumps power by 30, now totaling 430 hp. The PASM option lowers the car by 20mm and the Sport Design package adds a new front fascia and ducktail spoiler in the rear. All of this is coated in a sophisticated yet powerful Brewster Green with complimentary Espresso interior.

All of these options create a car that sprints from 0 - 60 in 4 seconds flat, looking flawless while it does it. Unfortunately for many, Porsche is making just a mere 13 of the Club Coupe, all the while keeping 1 of the 13 for itself. The remaining 12 will be part of a lottery system to allot them to potential buyers. There's still time to register at (http://www.porsche.com/microsite/911-club-coupe/international.aspx) which remains open to entries until July 16, 2012.

While the chances are slim for getting one of exclusive 911 Club Coupe models, everyone here at Bert Smith Porsche, serving the greater Tampa and St. Petersburg areas, is 100% confident that we can find the Porsche of your dreams. Just stop by our showroom today to take a test drive and learn more about all the joys of Porsche ownership.
